How to Transform Your Body with Multi-Stations

Multi-stations are an effective piece of gym equipment that can provide you with a full body work out and even the benefits of cardio, while taking up little space in a gym or home. They can help increase your strength and endurance, while keeping your heart rate up to burn calories and even fat. These machines are easier to use than free-weights and require less balance and coordination, so they’re perfect for beginners or the most advanced weightlifters.

Here’s how to make the most out of your multi gym equipment and transform your body:

Circuit Training

A timed circuit can help you maximize the potential of your workout. By doing 6 workouts for five minutes each, you can reach all of the muscles in your body in just a half hour. Remember to take breaks as you need them! With a multi-station you can do, chest presses, leg presses, lat-pulldowns, machine lateral raises and more. Pick six to do today and another six to do tomorrow to keep your body on it’s toes and perform to its maximum potential. Remember, that multi-stations can be used for your entire body, so you can choose to do leg day one day and upper body the next.

Muscle-Building

Multi-stations are the perfect tool for building muscle. Using higher resistance setting or more weight while performing your exercises slowly will help you build muscle with each movement. To create more muscle use, resist the machine as you lower down and don’t let it just drop. This will help activate muscles in different parts of your body. Use repetition to build muscle and feel the burn. You can add more resistance slowly once you feel like you’re ready. If you don’t walk to bulk-up, but would still like to build muscle, once you reach your ideal muscles, you can lower the resistance which will keep your muscles where they are.

Cardio

What many people don’t realize is that a multi-gym has many uses other than just building muscle. If a multi-gym is the only piece of equipment you have at your disposal, you don’t need to run or wait inline for a treadmill to get an effective cardio exercise. A multi-gym can help you burn calories and fat just as easily. Low resistance, high-rep workouts can get your heart rate beating fast for a cardio workout that doesn’t bulk you up, but keeps your heart healthy and strong while you dissolve away fat.

Toning

From your cardio exercise using the multi-gym, you can also tone your muscles. As you lose weight and build more muscle, you’ll become more toned-looking. While you can do different strengthening and cardio workouts to become toned, you can also combine them with moderate resistance and high reps using a multi-station. In order to do this you must find a resistance level that allows you to build muscle without tiring your muscles out. Moving from exercise to exercise quickly and a 30 second circuit training pattern works well to do this.
